HELPFUL GUIDANCE
Know what to
prepare.
Service requests and employment applications follow different paths. Start with the information relevant to you.

SERVICE ENQUIRIES
For individuals & families
Our public service information is intended for adults seeking support through applicable Medicaid Waiver services. Ask our office about your situation and the specific program or authorization involved.
Call our officeBefore you contact our office
- The service you are interested in
- The area where support is needed
- Who will be involved in the conversation: individual, family, or authorized representative
- Whether you are enrolled in a Waiver program or need information about applying
Do not send diagnoses, Social Security numbers, medical records, or identity documents through ordinary website messages. Our office will explain the appropriate process if supporting documents are needed.
FLORIDA APD
Applying to APD is a separate step.
APD determines program eligibility separately from NRL. If you already have Waiver services, tell our team which support you need. If you are getting started, we can explain the information to prepare and who reviews each step.
- Already enrolled? Prepare the name of your program and support coordinator, if applicable.
- Getting started? APD reviews the state application; applying to NRL does not replace that process.
- NRL reviews the service of interest, location, availability and any authorization needed before services start.

- Common APD course areas include Zero Tolerance, Direct Care Core Competencies, Waiver requirements, HIPAA and iConnect.
- Many courses are available through TRAIN Florida; CPR and First Aid use approved training providers.
